  1. For UBNT gear it does not matter which chain you connect to which antenna port / polarization, so you should be ok either way.

Which antenna parameter is important for WISPs? Beam Efficiency (BE), because it tells you everything about antenna noise performance you need to know. Knowledge of BE helps you make informed decision when choosing an antenna for your next deployment. In this webinar you will learn: What is Beam Efficiency Why is it important How BE compares to other parameters How to use it in practice REGISTER HERE: https://buff.ly/3bWSwN0
  3. we have bunch of updates in the pipeline that include the save option. What do you mean by the two points exposed?

  5. Traditional sectors can freeze your WISP business growth despite they may be ok to start with... how? Learn essentials of patch array technology for WISPs, when to use or avoid it. REGISTER HERE: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/5516516693582/WN_gA9pd07lRj2ZMu91mZDeMQ You will learn:- Why traditional sectors are called Patch Arrays- Why Patch Arrays have big side lobes- If it is possible to get rid of the side lobes and how- Advantages of Patch Array technology- Disadvantages of Patch Array technology- Comparison to other most common antenna types in WISP industry
  6. Unfortunately we don't have the data to those devices - UBNT does not share them with us, so we can't add them.

Not sure how to go about starting using horns? Register to our webinar and learn what you need to know beforehand, and how to migrate to horns when you want to:1. Augment the coverage2. Build a 100% new tower REGISTERE HERE
  8. Hi, as you correctly assumed, the UD-TP-24 has almost flat gain across the useful bandwidth so the 7 - 8 dB drop in signal strength is strange. To your questions: 1. May be that due to different frequency the reflections add up destructively at the CPE, I'd try to move either AP or CPE (including antenna) up/down a little to see if it improves. 2. For 1.5 mi distance a 24 dBi AP and 26 dBi LTU-LR antenna are more than enough. You can use the UD27-TP if you want, but if the noise is an issue, UltraHorn will increase the SNR more than the 3 dB difference in gain comparing UD24-TP an UD27-TP. Beam efficiency of UD24-TP is 40% while Ultrahorn has 99% beam efficiency Regarding beam width - unless you have noise sources within the 15 deg beam width angle of UH vs. 12 deg of UD24-TP, you should be ok.
  9. @sabielomna There is a negligible difference between the H/ V radiation patterns as well as at different frequencies, so practically you'd really not see any difference in the coverage the antennas provide. Or do you have a need for extreme precision? If so, what kind of application are you dealing with?

Wireless network delivering fiber-like throughput speeds? Impossible you think? Let us explain in this webinar why & how it is possible, in our webinar we'll talk about 3 steps to achieve this:1. Use high beam efficiency antennas2. Gain and pattern stability3. Balanced polarization performance REGISTER HERE: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/1016442533603/WN_tKpssFEXRHizQVF1amyDgw

  14. Nice installation, def the cold and wind make it bittersweet, but the result looks (and works) great, well done!
  15. You're right, by now we are sure TPA-ADAP-e2K works with ePMP Force 400C as well.
  16. Sorry about that, yeah, the edge of the dish is different between the generations and the radome was optimized for the new gen only..
  17. Hi John, yes, I agree, the next round of link calc update is in the pipeline including this feature as well, so hang on there!
  18. Hi Alex, ideally, if you have 2 spare radios, put up the two 30 deg sectors first, set them up and then the downtime will be literally zero.
  19. I would probably pick 19 dBi option, considering that Horn + TP-A have less connection loss vs antennas with coax connectors and jumpers.

  21. Right, the corrosion is an issue we're aware of and are in the process of fixing. Please contact the distributor you bought the antenna from with ID of the antenna, the same photos, and we they take care of it!
  22. Hi Craffi, can you please share more details of the location? Was the antenna at the shore? How long it took for it to corrode this much?
