adunlap Posted January 26, 2017 Report Share Posted January 26, 2017 Is it better to deploy 12 - 30 degree horns on a tower or deploy 6 - 30 degree and 6 - 40 degree horns alternated (ex: 30,40,30,40...) to allow 5 degree overlap on each horn to eliminate dead spots? Guest Mike Posted January 27, 2017 Report Share Posted January 27, 2017 adunalp, if you would like to cover 360° it is better to use setup with overlap - mix of 30° and 40° symmetrical horns antennas. Horn's beam pattern is very precise and signal drops fast outside the main lobe so overlap will make positioning easier in order to have full 360° coverage without dead spots.
